FiFNA reaction to Statement from Rome on reception of Anglican groups
Forward in Faith North America (FiFNA) joins with Forward in Faith International in the commitment to seeking Christian unity in truth.
Dr. Michael Howell, FiFNA's Executive Director said, "This is a very important development in the life of God's One, Holy,Catholic and Apostolic Church, and as leaders of FiFNA, we will most certainly study and discuss its implications for the relationship between our respective communions, as well as our Lord's desire 'that we all may be one.'"
FiFNA maintains that Anglicans are part of the One, Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church as it "upholds the faith and practice of the undivided Church." While this Personal Ordinariates is an avenue which opens doors for some Anglican in their seeking union with the Roman Catholic Church, FiFNA recognizes that this is but one step in coming to unity in Jesus Christ and the faith and belief of undivided Christendom.
Forward in Faith, North America (FiFNA) is an association of congregations and a membership of individuals who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ and uphold the Evangelical Faith and Catholic Order of the Church. FiFNA has congregations and members from various jurisdictions of Anglicans in the United States and Canada. Additionally it is working to assist the Missionary Diocese of All Saints' as a diocese in formation in the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). In its commitment to the spread of the Gospel FiFNA and its members look for mission opportunities to further the spread of the Gospel to all who identify themselves as Anglican.
